Subsurface safety you can trust. Weatherford’s Optimax™ series subsurface safety valves provide positive shutoff protection in case of catastrophic loss of well control. With more than 2,000 years of cumulative in-well valve life, the Optimax series of valves have demonstrated industry-leading reliability.
The Optimax series provides reliable service for a vast majority of well conditions, with pressure ratings of 5,000 and 10,000 psi (34 and 69 MPa); sizes ranging from 2 3/8- to 7-in. tubing; and a 350°F (177°C) temperature rating. Whether surface or subsurface controlled, our valves are certified to API 14A, Q1 ASME SPPE 1 specifications and offered in various classes of service.
Effective solutions for expensive problems. The Renaissance™ system of safety valves provides unique, cost-effective solutions for common well problems that previously required expensive repair. The Renaissance WDB is the ideal wireline safety valve for use in safety valves with damaged seal bores. The Renaissance WDCL replaces damaged, blocked or broken control lines or will retrofit wells without safety valves. The Renaissance Opti-Chem WCS offers a retrofit solution that provides a capillary-injection system and a surface-controlled safety valve—without a workover. The Renaissance WCS-HV provides high -volume water injection capability in a variety of capillary sizes while maintaining a surface-controlled safety valve. This functionality provides operators the ability to inject fresh water for desalination to increase recovery.
