Coalbed Methane

Coalbed methane (CBM) poses many operational and technical challenges including reservoir uncertainty, cost of capital, operational costs and logistics, environmental constraints, dewatering and long lead times to production. 

For the most part, the quality of a seam’s cleat system (high-conductivity flow paths) will dictate the type of well completion and stimulation employed. Weatherford’s ECL™ expandable completion liner adds stability to borehole structure, and produced water disposal to maximize the economic value. In addition, ECL liners have an inherently low skin factor, improve inflow/outflow performance, maximized wellbore ID for maximum operational efficiency.
