Control Systems
The “heart and brain” of Weatherford's mechanized rig systems is the control system. Its “soft PLC” environment, based on the industry standard Windows® NT® operating system, runs on a high-performance industrial computer. Input from all sensors and actuators processed in real time, produces movements that optimize time performance and partial auto-sequencing. Weatherford’s control systems are designed for stand-alone operation, but can also interface with the rig's control system to prevent collision between the various pieces of equipment used in the operational sequences, thus reducing the chance of human error.
Integration and combination with other control systems are possible as well. With maturity of design, our control systems offer instant troubleshooting and root-cause identification minimizing maintenance time. Remote problem solving by Internet enables immediate problem diagnosis and cost-effective modification and program adaptation
