Cement Extenders
Extenders increase the yield of a sack of cement and conversely lower the slurry density and hydrostatic pressure. They can be selected to react or non-react with the cement to provide the desired properties.
FLX Bubbles™ - Hollow alumina-silica microspheres that act as a floating bridging agent to reduce slurry density while maintaining some compressive strength up to 450°F (232°C). Water requirement of 80% by weight, which means, every 100 lb (45.4 kg) of FLX Bubbles™ requires 80 lb (36.3 kg) of water. Concentration range is 30-60% by weight of cement (BWOC) in normal slurries and up to 150% BWOC in special slurries.
