Flow assurance chemicals supplied by Weatherford include pipeline drag reducers used to increase crude oil or refined products flow through existing pipelines, pipeline hydro-test and dewatering chemicals, and pipeline cleaning chemicals.
Bio-Clear™ 242D - Synergistic blend of glutaraldehyde and quaternary ammonium compounds that effectively kills microorganisms, including sulfate reducing bacteria and algal slime forming bacteria. Highly potent to remove established bio-film and inhibit re-growth over a broad pH and temperature range.
Bio-Clear™ 250 - 50% active glutaraldehyde based biocide effective against many types of microorganisms, including sulfate reducing bacteria and algal slime forming bacteria. Recommended dosage is 0.1 gal/1,000 gal of water (0.1 l/m3).
E-Gel - Cationic, high-molecular weight polyacrylamide copolymer that viscosifies ethylene glycol to create gel sealing plugs and viscous slugs for dehydration and isolation purposes. Can be added continuously while pumping or pre-mixed at a concentration range of 0.5 to 3.0% by volume of glycol used.
Floro Dye 649™ - 40 to 42% active liquid fluorescein dye used as a tracer in pipeline hydro-test fluids to help determine the location of leaks. Dosage levels range from 15 to 30 ppm.
GO FLOW™ 125 - Dispersion of ultra-high molecular weight polymer in a nonaqueous base for use as a drag reducing agent in a wide range of refined products and fuels to increase pipeline throughput by decreasing pressure losses. Typical loading rate is 3 to 30 ppm depending on refined fuel characteristics and pipeline configuration.
GO FLOW™ 126 - Dispersion of ultra-high molecular weight polymer in a nonaqueous base for use as a drag reducing agent in a wide range of crude oils to increase pipeline throughput by decreasing pressure losses. Typical loading rate is 5 to 50 ppm depending on crude oil characteristics and pipeline configuration.
Super Clean 2000 - Biodegradable, anionic, environmentally friendly, water-soluble micellar dispersion for internally cleaning pipelines. Typical loading is 0.2 to 0.8 gallon/diameter (inches)/mile, with the water carrier fluid applied at 2.0 to 8.0 gal/diameter (inches)/mile. Can be reused in successive cleaning runs, if not over-diluted or contaminated with excessive solids or oil. Leaves the pipe wall and solids water-wet to allow for more efficient removal from the pipeline. A double-strength concentrated version, Super Clean 2000C, is also available.
Super Clean 2001 - Low toxicity, anionic, oil-soluble cleaner for use in pipelines with heavy hydrocarbon and paraffin deposits. Typical loading is 0.3 to 1.0 gal/diameter in. /mi., with the carrier fluid applied at 2.0 to 8.0 gal/diameter in. /mi. Can be diluted in either water or hydrocarbons, and is usually followed by Super Clean 2000 for complete cleaning. A double-strength concentrated version, Super Clean 2001C, is also available.
Super Clean AS-1 - Mixture of organic and inorganic acids, including quaternary ammonium chloride surfactants and amine ethoxylates that functions as an acid cleaner. Used to safely dissolve hydrocarbon deposits and scale buildup from pipelines, including iron, calcium and magnesium carbonates. Can be used at 100%, but is more typically applied at 10 to 30% in water. Strongly water wetting.
Super Dry 2000 - Concentrated ionic solution used to remove excess water from pipelines and flowlines during cleaning operations, commissioning, decommissioning, and hydrostatic testing. Apply to the pipeline in concentrated form by batch treatment during pigging runs.
Super Dry 2000S - High-performance, clear fluid used to remove excess water from pipelines and flowlines during cleaning operations, commissioning, decommissioning, and hydrostatic testing. Apply to the pipeline by batch treatment during pigging runs.
WFT 9318 - 65 to 75% ammonium bisulfite solution that effectively removes dissolved oxygen in fresh water and saturated brines to treat waters and drilling fluids where oxygen contributes to corrosion problems.
WFT CP-107 - Water-soluble oxygen scavenger used to minimize corrosion in packer fluids and pipeline hydrostatic testing fluids. Also soluble in brines, methanol and ethylene glycol.
