Screen Hang-Off Installations

Weatherford offers systems for performing coiled tubing (CT)-conveyed thru-tubing screen hang-offs.

The inflatable retrievable production packer (IRPP) screen hang-off system uses an IRPP packer with the screen type required to isolate sand production. A hydraulic disconnect with snorkel tube is run above the packer. The shear-pin plug in the hydraulic disconnect/snorkel tube determines the inflation pressure of the IRPP packer. The electric pump setting tool (EPST) is run above the IRPP packer with a snorkel tube assembly when run on electric line.

Once assembly is on depth, pressure applied to the run-in string, or current sent to the EPST, inflates the packer. A setting/disconnect ball is pumped to seat in the hydraulic disconnect/snorkel tube, actuating the inflation and the release of the run-in string after the required inflation pressure is attained; or a predetermined pressure is applied from the EPST to release the EPRT from the upper packer. A retrieval profile is left for future retrieval if required.
