Gas Lift Applications

PCP SchematicWeatherford provides McMurry-Macco™ Gas Lift Systems for both continuous flow and intermittent flow. Because of its cyclic nature, intermittent lift is best suited to wells that produce at relatively low rates. Continuous lift will usually be more efficient for wells that produce at higher rates and closely resemble a naturally flowing well.

  • Continuous or intermittent flow
  • Tubing and casing flow
  • Wells where pressurized injection gas is readily available
  • Wells with insufficient bottomhole pressures or deep wells that can’t flow against the hydrostatic head
  • Kick off wells that will flow naturally once the heavier completion fluids are vacated from the production string
  • Unload water from gas wells that would otherwise prevent gas production
