Gas-Reciprocating Rod Lift Combination

Weatherford has combined the lifting efficiency and superior reservoir drawdown capabilities of reciprocating rod lift with the fluid head reduction capability of gas lift to create this system. Typically, gas lift is continuously injected above the downhole reciprocating pump to reduce the fluid head lifted by the pumping unit. In many cases the discharge pressure required at the pump can be reduced 20–30%, decreasing the surface equipment requirements for a given application.

Key Features

  • Field-proven Weatherford pumping units, rods, downhole pumps and gas lift products
  • Unique gas lift mandrel design with bypass injection tube for packerless completion

Key Benefits

  • Smaller pumping units
  • Lower electrical energy requirements
  • Smaller rod string requirements
  • Increased production
  • Increased pump landing depth
  • Maximum drawdown
