Gas-Reciprocating Rod Lift Combination
Weatherford has combined the lifting efficiency and superior reservoir drawdown capabilities of reciprocating rod lift with the fluid head reduction capability of gas lift to create this system. Typically, gas lift is continuously injected above the downhole reciprocating pump to reduce the fluid head lifted by the pumping unit. In many cases the discharge pressure required at the pump can be reduced 20–30%, decreasing the surface equipment requirements for a given application.
