Power Unit and Vessel Cleaning Unit
The Weatherford Oilmaster Power Unit is a completely packaged hydraulic power plant for use in a hydraulic lift system. The unit consists of a multiplex plunger pump, properly matched electric motor or multicylinder engine drive, with all interconnecting piping, mounted on an oilfield skid.
The multiplex pump is usually direct driven through a gear reducer. Common horsepower range is 60 to 300, with large pumps available. Fluid cylinders are rated to 5,000 PSIG maximum and are furnished in aluminum bronze construction. Carbide coated plungers and pre-adjusted spring-loaded packing, operating in stainless steel stuffing boxes are used. These construction features provide corrosion resistance and increased operating time.
Standard accessory items include a no-maintenance discharge pulsation dampener, manual choke or pressure controlled discharge bypass valve, multiplex relief valve, plunger lubrication system and oil level switches. Available options are belt-driven chemical injection pumps and electric motor starters or engine control panels with all necessary safety shutdown devices to protect the multiplex and driver.
The Weatherford Oilmaster Power Unit is usually used with a separate, skid-mounted Weatherford Oilmaster Vessel Cleaning Unit. The vessel cleaning unit is a completely packaged system designed to condition produced well fluid for use as power fluid in a hydraulic lift system.
