Weatherford provides accurate time based and/or pressure based control to optimize production of your plunger lift well. The controller operates in one of four user selectable control modes including: A/B valve (normal mode), pressure mode, murphy mode, and three-valve mode.
Historical data that is stored in the controller include:
Number of plunger travels,
- Total plunger arrivals,
- Plunger travel time,
- Accumulated sales time.

With Weatherford’s plunger lift software, you now have the ability to improve the efficiency of your plunger lift wells by accurately monitoring the status and operational parameters of the plunger lift controller. The software employs a flexible framework to support the widely varying functionality available in different plunger lift controllers.
The application allows the user to identify problems as they occur, assess problems, and even predict future problems. These features can greatly reduce system down time and eliminate unnecessary trips to the well.
The plunger lift software monitors and creates trends and charts for plunger speed, battery voltage, number of plunger arrivals, and other operational parameters collected by the controller. The trends are updated in near real time, allowing the user to identify developing problems and take corrective action.
The software also provides remote configuration and adjustment of the plunger lift controller. This permits the user to optimize the plunger lift installation without venturing to the wellsite. It is designed to operate via some communications media including: radio, cellular, cellular digital pocket data (CDPD), and GEO satellite.
