PCP Optimization Systems
Progressing cavity pumps (PCP) is a preferred method for artificial lift in areas with high solids, heavy API oil and high volumes. More than 50,000 wells worldwide use PCPs.Factors that can inhibit the PCP system from performing optimally are varying inlet production rates, PCP wear and clogged inlet screens. However, the correct optimization solution provides an easier method to diagnose current problems and perform predictive analysis.
At the desktop, our PCP software solution provides intelligence by monitoring, analyzing, controlling and designing the lift system. Working with fixed and variable speed motor controllers, it allows the user to identify developing and future problems. The software monitors and trends input at user-preset intervals. Updated in near real-time, the trends allow the user to identify problems and prevent failures. Collecting real-time pressure data from permanent downhole sensors, our software lets the operator remotely identify the difference between a hole in the tubing, a worn pump or the tubing-hole location.
Our total solution provides wellsite intelligence, historical references and remote optimization. With the data logger storing the short-term data and the remote software providing analytical displays of that data, the user is aware of the system’s temporary changes, which can be compared over time to identify trends and allow users to predict potential problems and avoid expensive repairs.
