WaterSure Fluid System

Conserve fresh water in fracturing operations by using 100% produced water

  • Well stimulation

Features and Benefits

  • Ends dependence on the availability of fresh water
  • Eliminates the need for filtration
  • Avoids the downtime, costs, logistics, fuel consumption, and emissions associated with delivering fresh water to your wellsite, or transporting produced water off-site for treatment
  • Reduces wastewater disposal
  • Offers compatibility within inconsistent water quality
  • Performs effectively regardless of interfering ions, salinity, boron, calcium, and chlorides
  • Eliminates the need for drilling and maintaining storage wells
  • Ends the need to remove interfering ions or boron from water
  • Reduces scaling tendencies

Tool Description

The WaterSure® fluid system enables fracturing with 100% produced or flowback water—either filtered or unfiltered—without sacrificing stimulation performance.  When freshwater supplies are limited or water quality is inconsistent, use of the WaterSure system conserves freshwater supplies and reduces water costs.

The system adds an environmentally friendly gelling agent and crosslinker to any available water at your wellsite. The result is a low-residue stimulation fluid that is unaffected by flowback additives and can handle waters high in salinity, total dissolved solids (TDS), divalent ions, and boron. WaterSure fluids imitate the conductivity and permeability of fresh water, which protects formations from damage.
