Tool Description

The Weatherford rod hauler is designed for transporting continuous-rod reels, transferring continuous rod between transport and service reels, and cutting continuous rod for disposal. The unit supports all sizes of COROD continuous rod, serving as an efficient solution for transporting continuous rod strings from the Weatherford rod plant to the client’s well site.

The rod hauler comes equipped with a service-reel carrier for transportation, a transfer unit for transferring rod between transport and service reels, and a rod shear for rod disposal. The rod hauler features a crane for loading and unloading service reels and a hydraulically driven rotating hub for aligning and retaining the transport reel.

All rod haulers are constructed with safety as the top priority. Highly automated rod-handling devices, such as the brake system, are incorporated into the design of the unit to reduce human intervention and improve overall safety.
