Completion Accessories

Weatherford offers a variety of accessories, ranging from casing scrapers to tubing seal receptacles.

Weatherford offers three types of retrievable bridge plugs. The Weatherford WRP bridge plug is a wireline-set, retrievable plug capable of holding differential pressure from above or below. The WRP may be set on conventional wireline or hydraulic packer-setting tools, such as the HST setting tool. It can be used in acidizing, fracturing and cementing applications.

The Weatherford TS-U retrievable bridge plug is a high-pressure packer-style bridge plug used for multiple selective zone treating and testing operations. The TS-U bridge plug is a superior field-proven design. Designed to set in tension or compression, it is ideal for shallow applications such as testing the wellhead, or for deep, high-pressure applications.

The Weatherford B and BII retrievable bridge plugs are used to selectively isolate zones for acidizing, fracturing, squeeze-cementing, or testing in shallow applications. The B and BII plugs are also an inexpensive way to temporarily plug a well for installation removal of a wellhead equipment. The BII bridge plug is identical to the B bridge plug in operation, but it has the added feature of enclosed slips for easy entry into liners.

Weatherford offers a suite of drillable bridge plugs and cement retainers, ranging from cast iron to composite. The FracGuard™ series of composite bridge plugs isolate the formation above the plug for fracturing operations in both single- and multiple-zone stimulation applications. FracGuard plugs also work extremely well in underbalanced applications and in highly deviated, horizontal or multilateral wellbores. The flexibility of these tools lets you save operational time while protecting sometimes-sensitive formations.

Operational integrity at higher temperatures for extended periods of time and at higher and “stacked” pressures sets FracGuard plugs apart. Only FracGuard plugs can take differential pressure up to 12,000 PSI, thanks to the high-strength composite body and the patented element backup system that keeps the sealing rubber super-tight against the casing. And FracGuard plugs are available in more standard configurations than most competitors' plugs—from 2 7/8- to 9 5/8-in. casing.

The model DB permanent bridge plugs are Weatherford’s premium cast-iron bridge plugs are designed to run on electric line. These plugs are rated up to 10,000 PSI (68,947 kPa) differential and 300ºF (149ºC) from above and below.

The 238CR-400CR cast-iron drillable cement retainers are designed to hold pressure from one direction for sizes 2-3/8 in. (60 mm) through 4 in. (102 mm). Weatherford’s HM-2 permanent cast-iron bridge plug, designed especially for use in high-pressure situations, can be set with a combination of hydraulic pressure and mechanical pull, and comes with a built-in setting tool for greater efficiency.
