MECHANICAL PACKERS

Discover breadth and depth of tools and technology. Mechanical packers are the mainstay of land-based completions. In most land-based completions, especially where pressure fluctuations are expected, Weatherford’s versatile ArrowSet™ 1-X production packer has proven to be the packer of choice. The ArrowSet 1-X technology will set in shallow or deep applications using only a quarter-turn of the pipe to set.

A T-2 on-off tool may be run above the packer, allowing the tubing to be disconnected and retrieved without retrieving the packer. A blanking plug is set in the stinger of the T-2 on-off tool before disconnection to provide well control.
