Thermal Completions

Discover custom-engineered systems. Weatherford created a suite of tools for the demanding thermal environment. Our thermal packers and accessories are available with steam-compatible elastomers for temperatures up to 600ºF (315ºC), as well as special composite graphite seals for temperatures up to 650ºF (343ºC).

The ArrowTherm mechanical-set production/injection packer is set with compression at a quarter turn to the right. After the packer is securely set, the inner mandrel is released with a quarter turn to the left. The tubing is spaced out so that the mandrel then floats up and down, allowing for thermal expansion and contraction of the tubing string.
