Fast, permanent casing leak repairs

The HOMCO steel liner casing patch seals perforations, collar and thread leaks, splits and limited corroded areas in tubing and casing. And it provides added protection during squeeze jobs. The HOMCO patch is versatile and effective at any depth, with a long track record for sealing leaks and perforations where cementing efforts have failed, including wells in production, wells deepened after patching, and disposal storage wells.

The HOMCO patch provides casing contingency without loss of hole size. It isolates the problem, not the whole section.

Solid advantages and benefits

Speed

• Repairs are made quickly. Total setting time is limited only by roundtrip time.
• Operations can be resumed as soon as the setting tool is pulled and the patch is pressure tested.

Reliability

• The solid seal resists cracking and crumbling. An epoxy resin, spread on a fiberglass mat covering the outside diameter of the steel liner, is extruded into leaks and cavities in the casing wall and acts as a gasket and secondary sealing agent.
• Setting tool designed for twice the required operating pressure.

Versatility

• The patch is available in 20-ft (6.1-m) lengths, which can be made up to several hundred feet.
• Tools and patches are available for more than 60 different sizes and weights of tubing and casing between 2-7/8 and 26 in.
• Thick liners (1/8-in.) liners are available for normal patching operations and a new, heavier-wall liner is now available for higher-pressure operations. Special liner material for highly corrosive conditions and high-temperature wells are also available on request.
