MetalSkin® Cased-Hole Liner System
Solid answers to mature-field challenges

The MetalSkin cased-hole liner system deals with excessive water production, reservoir sweep inefficiency and other issues of aging wells. Threaded expandable tubular joints can be connected to create a system of any length, providing a permanent solution to bridge the gap between cement squeezing and scab liners while conserving hole size.
Solid remediation solutions: The MetalSkin cased-hole liner system provides a long-term seal against deformed, worn, corroded, eroded or parted casing. This system is ideal for casing off perforations and bad casing for selective re-perforation to access bypassed pay. It also greatly facilitates deepening of mature wells.
Alternative to a cement squeeze: Elastomer seal elements molded to the liner OD provide more permanent zonal isolation than a cement squeeze through a straddle packer.
Shutting off unwanted water: Enhance oil production. This system provides positive sealing of laterals and sidetrack windows, depleted production zones and injection intervals as well as unwanted perforations. Permanently seal off thief zones created by bad pipe or unwanted perforations, and solve reservoir sweep inefficiency problems.
The MetalSkin system minimizes the slimming of a well profile during casing repair. You can drill through, fracture through, and work more efficiently through the expanded liner with its added access.

Solid advantages and benefits
- Large ID for the full length of the expandable system maximizes production and injection rates and provides better access for future intervention operations.
- Launcherless system increases operational reliability by avoiding surge problems or becoming stuck, as can happen with oversized launchers or shoes.
- Hydraulic jack protects casing and connectors because the expansion pressure is contained within the jack rather than subjecting tubulars to expansion cycles.
