Perforating

Through-tubing perforating carriers convey high-performance perforating charges in carriers with OD’s from 1-3/8 in. and larger. Retrievable hollow steel carriers, strip carriers, spiral strip carriers, bar carriers, wire carriers and link carriers are all available in through-tubing sizes. Hole size, depth of penetration, stimulation treatments, well restrictions, completion techniques, fluids present, tolerances for debris, downhole temperatures and pressures should all be considered for perforator selection.

The SwingJet™ II system delivers the performance of a large-diameter casing gun and eliminates the need to pull tubing from wells. The system's pivot-mounted charges are designed to run through tubing and then deploy in the casing.

The xtreme orienting tool (XOT) is designed to handle dual completions and highly deviated environments. Magnetic and electromagnetic orientation tools such as the XOT position zero-phased guns to perforate a casing string without hitting adjacent strings in the same borehole.

The Sure Fire detonation system provides Weatherford clients with a wireline-conveyed gun that detonates safely, efficiently and reliably. The system features a vented detonating block that eliminates the damage that usually occurs with top-fire or quick-change detonators, and a shunt-cap that allows operators to secure the detonator to the quick-change.

Ported hollow steel carrier (HSC) tools can be used with special techniques, including burrless perforating, which produce smooth entry holes for ball-in limited-entry fracturing. Select firing can be used to fire multiple guns during a single run.

Expendable retrievable hollow steel carrier (EHSC) tools are used for higher-load densities and higher-gram/ounce/pound loads.
