Gas Lift Valve Installations

Weatherford offers a system for performing coiled tubing (CT)-, slick line-, or electric line-conveyed insert gas lifts in monobore applications.

The insert gas lift system uses two large-bore FloMax™ or PB packers, a gas-lift valve, and their associated anchor seal assembly to straddle a tubing punch previously performed in the tubing or liner. The lower packer can be run in on an E-HST hydraulic setting tool on tubing; it can also be set with the SlickPump setting tool or on electric line using conventional wireline pressure setting tools. After the lower packer is set, a gas-lift mandrel is run with an RS anchor seal assembly in the well. Another FloMax or PB packer is made up to the top of the gas lift mandrel and attached to one of the various setting devices. The upper section of the insert gas lift is run in the well and snapped into the lower packer, and the upper packer is set.

This system is recommended for applications in which the packer system remains within the same basic ID in the production tubing or liner throughout the operation. PB packer systems are ISO 14310 V-3-certified.
