Plug-Back Operations
Weatherford offers a number of systems for performing temporary or permanent plugbacks in monobore applications.
For temporary applications, Weatherford’s WRP bridge plugs can be installed using coiled-tubing (CT), electric line, or slick line. To convey on CT, the E-HST setting tool and ball-drop circulating sub are used to set either type of bridge plug. Slick-line conveyance is performed by the SlickPump™ setting tool. If electric line conveyance is preferred, a wireline pressure setting assembly is used.
For permanent applications, Weatherford’s FracGuard® composite bridge plugs and DB cast-iron bridge plugs can be installed using CT, electric line, or slick line. To convey on CT, the HST setting tool and optional ball-drop circulating sub are used to set either type of bridge plug. Slick-line conveyance is performed by the SlickPump setting tool. If electric line conveyance is preferred, a wireline pressure setting assembly is used.
