Waterflood Injection Systems for Control and Reservoir Maintenance
Weatherford’s waterflood regulators and sidepocket mandrels offer an efficient method to regulate water volumes injected down a single tubing string into multiple zones. Injection volumes are maintained with little variations from the effects of changing differential across the regulator. Regulators and sidepocket mandrels are offered in numerous configurations and erosion resistant materials to cover standard and ultra-high injection applications.
Key Features
Control flow rate range up to 5500 BBL/D, with the RWF-2D Duplex Regulator.
Tungsten carbide wear surfaces where greatest differential and flow rate exist.
Floating tungsten carbide cone to prevent misalignment with the seat ring when the two are closely metering.
Hard plated surfaces on seat assembly and stem bore to prevent wear and foreign material lodging in between its stem and bore.
Flow path through the valve is relatively smooth.
Orifice holes are drilled through side of cap so that effective control area is not decreased.
Wireline retrievable so that regulator can be retrieved from the well without pulling tubing.
Special material available for highly corrosive environments.
No adjustments required to restart injection after a shutdown.
Key Benefits
Valve control spring is out of the flow path.
Only one moving part insures dependable and reliable operation.
No elastomeric seals to cut out or cause friction drag that prevents proper metering position of the stem and seat.
Different flow rates are achieved by simply changing orifice size or spring load.
Maintains preset flow rate regardless of pressure changes in the injection stream or formation zone.
Designed to operate with a minimal pressure differential (250-300 psi).
Differential operating range of up to 2500 psi.
Computer program is available to determine valve settings utilizing well parameters.
