Geothermal Depth Logger and Encoder

Displays and records depth and line speed during slick line operations

Applications

  • Slickline

Features and Benefits

  • Displays and records depth and line speed
  • Depth correlation
  • Industrial encoder (see specifications below)

Tool Description

The Weatherford geothermal depth logger operates with either a Quantum™ Quartz, Quantum™ Piezo, or geothermal pressure and temperature gauges. The encoder is of a high-quality construction with 512 pulses per revolution.

The unit will display and record depth and line speed during slick line operations. Using a real-time clock, the unit will automatically record the start date and time, and record depth and line speed. The data is merged with the tool data for depth-based log presentation and line speed correlation.
