Weatherford Promotes Two Executives

- Stuart Ferguson to Lead Completion Systems - David Colley to Head Global Manufacturing

Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE: WFT) announced two key appointments today. Stuart Ferguson has been named President of Weatherford Completion Systems division and David Colley has been named Vice President in charge of Weatherford's Global Manufacturing Operations.

Bernard J. Duroc-Danner, Weatherford Chairman and CEO commented, "Both of these appointments are important steps in Weatherford's efforts to accelerate the rate of introduction of technology and concurrently leap frog the Company's efficiency."

As President of Weatherford Completion Systems, Mr. Ferguson will lead a business which has tripled in size during the last three years and established a leading position in important new technologies. He will focus on furthering Weatherford Completion Systems' drive to leadership in quality, product and service performance and technology. Mr. Ferguson has more than 15 years in the oil and gas industry. Most recently, he ran Weatherford's Intelligent Wells business unit. Previously he worked for Expro International, Petroline Wellsystems Ltd. and BP. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham in England.

As Vice President of Weatherford's Global Manufacturing Operations, Mr. Colley will lead a company-wide initiative to optimize the quality, cost structure and overall to time delivery of our manufacturing operations. He will also be responsible for optimal management of the Company's supply chain. Mr. Colley has 23 years experience in manufacturing, procurement, materials management and product line management. Most recently he was Vice President for Manufacturing in Weatherford's Artificial Lift Systems division. Previously, he worked at Halliburton Company. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
