Weatherford Global Purchases Cooper Energy’s Canadian Parts and Service Division

Weatherford International, Inc. (NYSE: WFT) today announced that its natural gas compression division, Weatherford Global Compression Services, has purchased Cooper Energy Services' (CES) Canadian Parts and Services division. Cooper Energy Services' Aftermarket Services is dedicated to providing customers with maximum equipment availability at the lowest possible operating cost, along with being a single source for genuine replacement parts. Cooper Energy Services' state-of-the-art maintenance center is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and offers factory trained service representatives who can overhaul end users equipment in the specialized overhaul facility, or at the operating site.

The acquisition expands Weatherford Global's range of capabilities to provide field gas production solutions to the Canadian marketplace. “The addition of CES's Canadian division serves to further strengthen our relationship with Cooper Energy Services, and builds on Weatherford Global's commitment to provide customers with the level of service necessary to optimize their production of natural gas,” said Shane Guiltner, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Weatherford Global's Canadian Division.
