Weatherford Expects 2017 OneStim Transaction Closing

BAAR, Switzerland, Oct. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Weatherford International plc (NYSE: WFT) today confirms that it fully expects to close the previously announced OneStim^SM joint venture with affiliates of Schlumberger Ltd. before year-end. We have made substantial progress on the integration project and are now finalizing the contractually agreed price adjustments. In connection with the U.S. regulatory process, Weatherford and Schlumberger completed their responses to requests from the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division (the "DOJ") in September of 2017 and the DOJ should reach a decision before the end of November. 

Additionally, to address market speculation, Weatherford confirms it has no current intention to issue new equity securities in the near future.
