Vero® System: First Smart Completions Run in Pakistan Deploys 466 CRA Connections and 11 Assemblies With No Damage, Ensuring Well Integrity

Execute Pakistan's first smart completions run featuring complex 3 1/2-in. and 4 1/2-in. CRA tubing with 11 completion assemblies and 8 control lines while maintaining well integrity and operational safety.

Weatherford established a collaboration network that included the local Weatherford team, the broader geozone, and the global team to ensure best practices were applied and the optimum technologies selected.
The team recommended the Vero conventional system for connection make-up and evaluation, the RCS-500 completions slips to enable large OD assemblies to pass through while protecting control lines, and the AutoCLAMP™ system for safe and efficient hands-free manipulation of the control lines on the rig floor.
The Vero conventional system enhances connection integrity by automatically making up or breaking out pipe and by autonomously evaluating tubular connections, ensuring acceptance as per OCTG OEM criteria.
Featuring a 500-ton (453,592-kg) rating, the RCS-500 completions slips function as a spider to handle tubular in completion-running operations
The automated, control-line, arm manipulating and positioning (AutoCLAMP) system remotely guides the control line as tubing is run in the hole. The AutoCLAMP system also positions the control line in proper orientation to the pipe to ease installation of control‑line clamps.

The Vero system ensured no damaged CRA connections, especially on the 11 completions assemblies that were run in hole, ensuring well longevity with autonomous connection evaluation.
The RCS-500 slips enabled large OD completions assemblies to pass through and protect control lines from getting damaged by slips.
With its hands-free manipulation of the control lines on the rig floor, the AutoCLAMP system significantly enhanced the safety and integrity of all operations.
