CygNet v8.1.3 Release

CygNet version 8.1.3 is available for download from the CygNet support portal (http://support.cygnet.com). If you need help accessing the download site, please contact CygNet Support at support@cygnet.com or 866-4-CygNet. Selected features of this version are described below. For a full list, refer to the CygNet v8.1.3 Release Notes.

• CygNet Software now allows operators to enable Microsoft’s User Account Control (UAC) for all supported operating systems running CygNet clients. This configuration is optional and if you choose not to enable UAC, user interaction with CygNet client applications will be identical to previous versions of CygNet Software. Note that computers running CygNet Host Services still require that UAC be disabled (CygNet SCADA service hosts, CygNet Measurement (FMS and GMR) service hosts, and CygNet Web service hosts and clients).
• The number of facility links to a remote device in the DDS has been increased to 9,999 from 99.
• New Modbus Realflo EIE. This EIE has been optimized for use the Realflo software v6.8 and newer. It includes full CygNet Measurement and GMR support.
• Support for daily and hourly FMS history has been added to the Eagle EIE.
• A SetPoint Button tool has been added to CygNet Studio to allow modification of the current value, timestamp, and/or unreliable bit of a specific target point.
• A new .Net API has been added that exposes new extensibility features of the CygNet Value History Service (VHS). The primary namespace, CygNet.API.Historian, allows for the storage and retrieval of extended data.

Measurement enhancements include:

• A highly configurable Analyst Overview option has been added to the Dashboard control to provide a customizable and comprehensive view of your system status.
• A Detect New Devices command is now available to detect new devices and automatically create corresponding Nodes in your system.
• The Export: Device Data CSV command has been added so that you can export gas metering device data from CygNet Measurement to third party users via CSV files.
• A Missing Data Overview report has been added to provide a summary view of missing data status throughout your system.

Product Lifecycle Information

• CygNet v8.1.1 will enter Limited Support on November 25, 2015 and will reach its End of Life (be retired) on November 25, 2016.
• CygNet v8.1.0 will enter Limited Support on March 29, 2015 and be retired on March 29, 2016.
• CygNet v8.0.1 is in Limited Support and will be retired on March 20, 2015.
• The last release that will include the VHS Legacy Datastore is v8.1.3. This component is in Limited Support.
• Gas Measurement Repository (GMR) is in Limited Support and will be retired on March 31, 2016. Version 8.2.0 will be the last release that includes GMR.
• The “Realflo EIE” is in Limited Support effective with the v8.1.3 release. This is the last release in which this EIE will be included and it will be retired when 8.2 is released. It has been replaced with the “Modbus Realflo EIE.”
• The “WellMaster EIE” has been retired.
