CygNet Redundancy Webinar Summary

February 6, 2017 / 0 comments / in General  / by Luke Williams

NOTE: The following webinar contains content that is specific to CygNet versions 8.5.0 and 8.5.1.  While much of the underlying functionality remains the same, changes were made in CygNet version 9.0 that simplify the steps needed to configure CygNet Redundancy.  For more information on setting up Redundancy in CygNet version 9.0 or later, see the CygNet Redundancy training videos or contact CygNet Support.

CygNet Redundancy was a major feature added in the release of CygNet 8.5, myself and Software Development Manager Mike Borland took some time to walk through what CygNet Redundnacy is all about in our free webinar

We spent time discussing the new concepts and terminology necessary to understand and talk about CygNet Redundancy.

Supporting both simple and complex site configurations there was a lot to cover.  We walked through how to take a replicating site and convert to a Redundant Set, how to failover a subset of services using the new API as well as how to failover an entire site using the Sample CygNet Redundancy Screens included in the CygNet 8.5 release.

If you missed the webinar or would simply like to review it, the session was recorded and can be viewed here.

Note: There is a horizontal black section at the bottom of the video, this was a result of the recording.

For help with configuring or using CygNet Redundancy make sure to contact CygNet Support.
